It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Newman (Minneapolis, Minnesota), who passed away on April 15, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard Newman to pay them a last tribute.
As Richard departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Richard. Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Newman and Esther Newman; and his sisters, Mary (Jim Barcel) and Marcia (Don Mullan). He is survived by: his wife Maryann; and his children, Linda (Christopher Hermann), Paul (Beth Newman) and Christine (Jim Chiles). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and spouses and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Oak Knoll Lutheran Church (600 Hopkins Crossroad, Hopkins, MN 55305). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
