He was predeceased by: his parents, Burt McDowell and Lillian McDowell (Madison); his wife Julie McDowell; his stepchildren, Bowman Moser, Crystal Moser and Darcy King; and his siblings, Delores Boyle, Harriet Toman, Enid McDowell, Gayle Stetson and Don McDowell.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Thomas Moser (Denise) of Beaverton, OR and Terri Crook of Charleston, SC; his grandchildren, Jesse Moser of Mandan, ND, Daniel Kroll of Charleston, SC, Sarah Kroll of Charleston, SC, Stephanie King of Long Beach, CA, Samantha Jo King of Tucson, AZ, Lisa Popelka of Madison, WI and Dustin Moser-Gaab of Sacramento, CA; his children, Rodney McDowell and Christy Jo McDowell; and his brother Terrance McDowell. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
