He is survived by: his sisters, Mary "Lucy" Esquivel of Whittier, CA and Maria Chadwick of Whittier, CA; his sister-in-law Arlene Mirelez of Minneapolis, MN; his nieces and nephews, Linda S. Rodriguez, Oscar Esquivel, Sylvia Esquivel, Gloria Coyl (James), Lisa Gonzalez (Edgar), Briana Coyl, Liliana P. Rodriguez, Mallory Gonzalez, Samantha Gonzalez, Rene Rodriguez (Felicia), Jakob Coyl and Lucas Coyl; his friend Juanita Verdin; and also Paula Jarrett. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
