He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alma Volkman and Stanley Ralph Volkman; his significant other Betty Lou Volkman (Gothier); his children, Cheryl Knight (Scott), Alan Volkman, Stan Volkman (Lori), Lynn Kittelson (Jay), Joe Volkman (Mary), Brian Volkman (Kris), Therese Volkman and Tom (Sande); and his pet Ruffles. He was also cherished by 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and first great-great grandchild.
Memorials preferred to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which builds homes for fire, rescue, and police officers who have been wounded on duty or to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
