She was predeceased by: her parents, Monica Fleming Kearns and John Richard Kearns; and her brother Tom Kearns. She is survived by: her significant other Bob Costain; her daughters, Elizabeth Smith and Laurel Kaeferlein (Bernie); her grandchildren, Nick Kaeferlein, Ted Kaeferlein, Nora Smith, Christina Kaeferlein and Cass Smith; and her sister Joan Kearns King.
