She was predeceased by: her husband Merrill Wylie Franzen; her mother Anna Marie O'Conner (Grant); her siblings, Catherine (Vincent Marien), Alice (Russell Hulings) and James (Sally Stoke); her father James O'Connor; and also Jerome McGarity (Carr).
She is survived by: her sister Ellen Jane McGarity (Franzen); her nieces and nephews, David (Vicki), Gregory (Deborah), Elisabeth (Stephen), Anne Marie (Daniel) and Mark (Joan); and her cousins, Kathleen Hagan and Helen Manaras. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (5029 Zenith Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55410). A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
