He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Schwarzkopf and Dora Schwarzkopf (Venem); his wife Inez Schwarzkopf; his brother Vernon; his sister-in-law Char Schwarzkopf; and his sister Barbara Carney.
He is survived by: his children, Erik Schwarzkopf (Leigh Ann), Kurt Schwarzkopf (Susie Byers), Dana Schwarzkopf and Ilse Rolf (Jason); and his grandchildren, Ian, Karl (Meghan), Nissa, Casey, Sigrid and Parker. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (4100 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55409).
Memorials are preferred to the Lyall Schwarzkopf Education Fund at the International Education Foundation for IIMC.
