It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Stanley Smith (Minneapolis, Minnesota), who passed away on April 8, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley John Smith and Katherine J Smith (Stelmazek); his brother Theodore Smith; his mother-in-law Arlene Hess (Spengler); and his brothers-in-law, Ron Hess and Gary Spengler Sr..

He is survived by: his wife Linda Spengler; his children, Sharon Moline (Mike Little), Sue Doyle (Janelle Ross), Ame Sowada (Danny), Katie Struthers (Anthony) and Mathew Elton (Brittney); his nephew Conrad Kupka; his cousin Rick Smith; his grandchildren, Kaylynn, Gabriel, Lennyn Sowada, Freya, Maive Elton and Jeremy Candler II; and his pets, Dynamite, Firecracker and Laser.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Lenny's memory.
