She was predeceased by: her daughter Barbara; her parents, Mathew Tempel and Johannah Tempel; her brothers, Raymond, Russell, Donald and Jerry; and her significant other Bob Barnes.

She is survived by: her children, Robert Barnes (Shari), Gary Barnes (Debbie) and Kristi Schellhammer (Donald); and her grandchildren, Joseph Barnes (Carole Lynn), Christopher Barnes (Sheri), Melissa Barnes, Michael Barnes, Matthew Barnes (Caroline) and Sarah King (William). She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, and many relatives and friends.

Memorials may be given to the Union Gospel Mission and Samaritans Purse.
