He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Ekola and Agnes Ekola (Swanson); and his granddaughter Fiona May Ekola. He is survived by: his wife Beverly; his siblings, Judy Porter (Dave), Lynne Harrington (Jeff) and Dean; and his children, Susan Caron, Nancy Ekola, Darlene Nye (Steve), Ali Gohar (Jane) and Peter Ekola (Carita Zimmerman). He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
