He was predeceased by: his parents, William Schaefer and Loretta Schaefer; and his siblings, Marie, Bill and Charlie.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Linnea; his wife Patricia; his sister Elizabeth Wicke; his sister-in-law Lee Schaefer; his children, Anne Wussler (Jack), Lawrence P. Schaefer (Toni Halleen), Mary Enright (Bern) and Kris Schaefer (Kristen Brown); and his grandchildren, Dick Senese, Connor (Alia), Tom, Branch (KT), Beth, Georgia and Jesse Larry.
