It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lauretta Leona Orr (Minneapolis, Minnesota), who passed away on April 29, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Nelson and Beatrice Nelson; her siblings, Jeanne Cockrell, Geraldine Walter and Douglas Nelson; and her grandsons, Jacob Rawson and Nikolaus Schechter.
She is survived by: her husband Lawrence "Larry" Orr; her children, Wanda Rawson (Terry), Brenda Johnson (Kirk), Todd Bourassa (Joyce), Tina Bourassa, Laura Acker (Josh), Linda Gessner (Bryce), Mary Orr (Tom), Joe Orr, Monica Schechter (Stan), Michelle Orr (Alan) and Mike Orr; her grandchildren, Zachary Rawson (Suzanne), Brittany Haeg (Joe), Megan Rawson (Dylan), Aaron Rawson, Sarah Johnson (Ethan), Ruth Johnson, Stephen Johnson, Piper Bourassa, Julia Bourassa, Miles Bourassa, Silas Acker, Micah Acker, Rainer Acker, Otto Gessner, Gwendolyn Gessner, Makaila Orr, Andrew Schechter, Alex Schechter and Madie Schechter; her great grandchildren, Athena Tabor, Sydney Rawson, Juliette Rawson, Owen Haeg, Eleanor Haeg and David Haeg; and her siblings, Carmen Brummer, Dallas Gale (Edward), Andrea Nelson, Valerie Loftus (Earling) and Russell Nelson (Mary). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of memorials/flowers the family asks that donations to be made in Lauretta's honor to the Alzheimer's Association (https: //act.alz.org) to further research for a cure to this devastating disease.
