He was also cherished by his Sister In Law's children and their husbands.

“Ken was a big part of my identity while growing up as a trainee agent with State Farm Insurance. He taught me persistence, the dignity of being in the insurance business (especially life insurance), and respect for my fellow agents who make up what he referred to as the "State Farm family." He could be a hard driving manager but he also taught me how to handle the rejection that is so much a part of being a successful sales entrepeneur. He also knew how 2 handle an appeal to the company right.”
