He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kortz and Lydia Kortz (Kerchiel). He is survived by: his wife Ellen Caroline Kohler; his daughter Kimberly Holland (David); his sister Carole Hansen (Paul); his nephew Paul Hansen (Barbara); and his niece Michelle Hansen. He is also survived by many grand nieces/nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in his name to the World Wildlife Federation or the MN Animal Humane Society, a fitting tribute to his love of animals.
