With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John William Hansen of Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on November 11, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may John find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Zola Hansen and Elsie Hansen (Swanson); and his sisters, Marilyn and Marge. He is survived by: his wife Helen; and his children, David Hansen (Tookta) of Faribault, Jan Szajner (Tom) of Cannon Falls, Caroline Larson (Peter) of Pine Island and Patty Eckdahl (Steve) of Oronoco. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and their spouses, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Lakewood Church (6284 Fairview Rd N, Baxter, MN 56425). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
