He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Maturen and Margaret Maturen; his siblings, David and Mary; his grandson Reid Weiland; and his aunt Ida Mae.
He is survived by: his wife Clare Dech; his children, Daniel (Deb), Michele, Stephanie Weiland (Steve) and Paul (Amy); his grandchildren, J. D. (Mia), Stephen (Abby), Rita, Bobby, Kathleen Richardson and Rachel (Andrew); and his great grandchild Zoë Faye. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life to be held post-Covid.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Our Lady of Peace Hospice or The Dorothy Day Center at the Catholic Charities of St. Paul.
