He is survived by: his wife Waldtraud; his son John Wahlquist (Marie) of Stanchfield; his stepdaughter Annette Perumbala (Bala Krishnan); his grandchildren, Krishnan and Mira; his sisters, Susan Wahlquist of New Richmond, WI and Bonita Wahlquist of New Richmond, WI; and his nephew Paul Wahlquist.
