He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilda Weinstein and Abraham Weinstein; and his brother Bill. He is survived by: his wife Ann Weinstein (Rendle); his brothers, Bert and Larry; his daughter Debra Podzimek (Mark); and his grandchildren, Andrew and Rebecca.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Plymouth Chapel (15800 37th Ave N, Plymouth, MN 55446). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery (7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55450).
