He is survived by: his children, James Ray Mendoza Jr. of Carrizo Springs, TX, Deanna Mendoza, Martin Mendoza, Ryan Mendoza and Marcus White of Minneapolis, MN; his siblings, Pedro Mendoza Jr., Susana Mendoza and Ruben Mendoza; his grandchildren, Kassandra Mendoza, Klarissa Mendoza, Kaitlyn Mendoza, Krystina Mendoza, Malachi Mendoza, Cynthia Mendoza-Roberts, Elizabeth, Janella, Makoons and Dyami; and his great grandchildren, Karson Tapia, Yaneli Rodriguez and Bennett Underwood. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-nieces and nephews.
