Isabel Yulisa Brenes Obituary

In loving memory of Isabel Yulisa "Izzi" Brenes. Isabel age 24, was born August 17, 1998 and passed peacefully to heaven on November 21, 2022.

She was born in Minneapolis, MN, was raised in Big Lake, MN and later spent her teen years in Texas. Isabel was the beautiful daughter of Bernardita Barrios and Jose Franz Brenes and mother to her beloved cat Julia.

She attended Kingwood High school in Kingwood, Texas. After High School Izzi worked retail, enjoyed the arts, and started in graphic design which had always been her passion. She was vivacious, enthusiastic, giggly, and life of the party with a taste for glitzy fashion.

She was a very happy and free spirited young soul. She loved her family with all her heart and welcomed many people into her life with open arms and a big smile.

Aside from being a loving daughter, Isabel enjoyed painting. She loved shopping with her mom in Houston, Texas and spending time with her father and her siblings in Minnesota. She loved to go out and hunt for natural treasures, but she always said that the greatest treasure of all was her family and friends.

Isabel was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Isabel Calvo and Benito Barrios, her paternal grandparents, Franz Brenes and Zaida Soto. She is survived by her mother Bernardita Barrios, her father Jose Brenes, siblings, Tania, Natalia, and Fabian, uncles, aunts and cousins in Costa Rica and her cat Julia who was her world.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Gill Brothers Funeral Home in New Hope, Minnesota from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
