It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene J. Eelkema of Minneapolis, Minnesota, born in Duluth, Minnesota, who passed away on April 28, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eleanore Westman and Henry Edward Jacobson; her husband Herman Harrison Eelkema; her sons, Harrison and Robert; her brother James; and her son-in-law Daniel Vorum.
She is survived by: her children, Irene, William (Kathleen), James (Linda), John and Elizabeth; her siblings-in-law, Robert Eelkema, Ben Morgan and Ruth Jacobson; and her friends, Dodes, Anneliese and Stephen. She is also survived by many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
