He is survived by: his children, Ari Shafer, Amy Farley (Shawn) and Alissa Shafer; his grandchildren, Lauren, Leanna, Blayne, Grace and Patrick; his sisters, Elaine Rosen (Rick) and Joanne Shafer (Dieterich Spahn); and his close friend Jill Ballard.
