He was predeceased by: his parents, Ole Vigstol and Annie Vigstol (Christopherson); his wife Jeanette Houck (Houck); and also, Gunval, Julia, Harold, Alice Hodne, Glenn, Clifford, Eunice and Audrey McKnight.
He is survived by: his great-uncle Gunval; his aunt Julia Torkelson; his sisters, Lulu Darkenwald (Harlan), Lorraine Costello and Evelyn Warnes; his children, Rebecca, Gregory (Maria) and Deanne Tabora (Ramon); his grandchildren, Joshua, Aaron, Josiah, Jonathan and Sarahi (Peter); and his great grandchildren, Evan and Lilly.
