He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Barry and Marie Barry (Oberpriller); his wife Joan; his stepdaughters, Pam Paige (Sean), Julianne Fredrick (Chuck) and Marisa Krogseng; his daughters, Ann Burns, Kristin Thorp (Bryan), Colleen Athans (Dean), Laura Hamilton (Jim) and Frances Barry (John Luehr); his grandchildren, Dylan Thorp (Mel), Adam Burns (Katherine), Elias Thorp (Katie), Brett Athans (Ed), Kate Hamilton, Erin Hamilton (Andrès), Kevin Burns, Hallie Thorp (Keith) and Greg Athans (Emily); his great grandchildren, Charlie Thorp, Jane Thorp and Isobel Burns; his former wife Doris Barry (Bartoletti); his son Paul Barry; and also, Muriel, Aline, Sara, John and Nicholas.
