It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Johnson (Minneapolis, Minnesota), who passed away on October 18, 2019, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Johnson and Nellie Johnson; his son Gene Anthony; and his brother Harold Johnson. He is survived by: his daughter Tonya Mayes (Brody); his granddaughters, Jaszmin Perkins and Idella Mayes-Jackson of Minneapolis; and his siblings, Kaye Perry (Junior), Ruby Johnson, Michael Frank Johnson, Linda Johnson, Brenda Johnson and Joan Johnson.
