It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eleanor Heegaard (Minneapolis, Minnesota), born in Warren, Ohio, who passed away on October 5, 2018, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward D. Thompson and Violet F. Thompson; and her siblings, Richard Thompson of Warren, Edward Thompson of Edgewater and Dorothy Thompson of Chicago.
She is survived by: her children, Karen LeGros (Chuck), Bill (Kristyn) of Minneapolis and Julie of Chicago; and her grandchildren, Alex Heegaard-LeGros, Zoé Heegaard-LeGros, Leighton Heegaard and Sophia Heegaard.
In lieu of flowers donations preferred: National Alliance on Mental Illness (https://namimn.org) in recognition of her long struggle with mental health or to The Eleanor Heegaard Scholarship fund at Mount Olivet Careview Homes) in honor of the tender care she received during her time at Mount Olivet.
