He was predeceased by: his former wife Kathryn "Kay" Miner; his parents, Robert Miner and Mae Miner; and his siblings, Margery, Roberta, Shirley, Amer and Arnold.

He is survived by: his wife Karen; his sister Darlene (Jesse); his nieces and nephews, Loree (John), Jodi (Dave) and Jamie (Jared); his grandchildren, Nikolaus (Nicole), Jakob (Laura), Nathan, Kathryn and Madeleine; and his stepdaughters, Tami (Frank) and Kristen. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
