He was predeceased by: his mother Marilyn Adkins; his nephew Sean McElderry; and his pets, Baxter, Cosmo and Goldy.

He is survived by: his father Steve Adkins (Judy); his sisters, Laurie McElderry (Stan) and Vicki Stephenson (John); his wife Jody; his children, Zachary, Charlie and Zoe; and his pets, Danger and Lola.
