He is survived by: his children, Denise Sheets (Chad), Stephanie (Tom Riggle) and Matthew; his grandchildren, Téa Merkl, Ben Cran, Rachel Sheets, Alex Cran, Fiona Riggle and Gabe Cran; his sister Jeanine Schmidt (Tom); and his close friend Judith Miegel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
