He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald McAloney and Mary McAloney; his nephew Chris Nyberg; and his pets, Doody and Pooky.

He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Parkos, Geraldine Nyberg and Al McAloney (Kay); his nieces and nephews, Gary Parkos (Kristen), Tim Parkos, Jerry McAloney, Dena Hoogheem (Dan), Cara Beauchaine and Diane Nyberg; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Allie, Katie, Roland and Jon.

I worked with David at NR for 6 years and never met someone whose professional integrity I respected more. More than an unparalleled coworker, I considered David my friend. He enjoyed hearing about and interacting with my two little girls and once brought a child's Adirondack chair to work for them to use. He will be missed. Sheila Fern”
