With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Lee Whitney (Minneapolis, Minnesota), born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on January 8, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Christopherson and Ronald Whitney. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth (Dave Smith) and Tyler (Fedrecia); his grandchildren, Preston, Tyler and Skyler; his siblings, Rayma, Stewart (Hilda), Kevin and Cal; and his former wife Kathy Elgethun. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
