He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Reuben Berman and Isabel Berman; his brother Theodore; and his sons, Jonathan and Daniel.
He is survived by: his wife Maggie Meagher; his siblings, Betsy Appelbaum, Sam (Mary Ellen), Ruth and Jean Sogin (David); and his children, Joseph (Druh), Peter (Amy), Michael Meagher (Johnna) and Meghan (Evan). He is also survived by five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to N.C. Little Memorial Hospice and the Allina Hospice Foundation.
