She was predeceased by: her parents, Genevieve Elberta Brothers and Clarence Edwards Lyman; and her brother Robert Edward Lyman. She is survived by: her children, Donald Nygaard (Linda Dupere), Barbara Nygaard, Thomas Nygaard and Christopher Nygaard; her grandchildren, Kathryn Nygaard and Allison Nygaard; and her great grandchild Lillian Nygaard.

“Clarice befriended me on the bus stop outside Becketwood nearly 30 years ago. Clarice helped me raise my girls, teaching them piano, having us to charming lunches, educating me about plants in my yard. Her kindness, wisdom, whimsy, traveling experience, architectural knowledge, musical nature, & incredible popovers always made us smile or feel lucky to know her! We also loved her adorable book about gnomes and the dollhouse! (& Poppy!) Clarice really impacted our lives! Thanks for sharing her!”
