It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chad Apitz of Minneapolis, Minnesota, born in New Ulm, Minnesota, who passed away on March 10, 2023, at the age of 43, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his great-grandparents, Wilfred and Alvera Honebrink; and his grandparents, Otto Apitz, Willie Honebrink, Janet, Don Hamilton and Curt Meinzer.
He is survived by: his father Rick Apitz of New Ulm; his brothers, Tim Apitz (Amanda) of Necedah, WI, Bradley Apitz (Bridget) of Kasson and Michael Meinzer (Alicia) of Beresford, SD; his nieces and nephews, Lydia, Judson Apitz, Jaxon and Tegan Meinzer; his grandmothers, Lois Apitz of New Ulm and Carol Meinzer of New Ulm; his parent Kim Apitz (Honebrink); and his wife Melissa. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
