We are sad to announce that on August 16, 2021, at the age of 93, Carol Bastian of Minneapolis, Minnesota, born in Waterloo, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carol Bastian to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark Petersen and Edna Petersen; and her brother Keith Petersen. She is survived by: her husband Elmer "Bud" Bastian; her brother Bruce Petersen (Bonnie); her children, John Bastian MD (Mary), Craig Bastian (Lynne), Kurt Bastian (Mary) and Claudia Scott; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Thornhill (Barrett), Jean Niehaus (Brian), Alex Bastian (Noah), Hannah Bastian of Kathleen Scott, DVM, Caroline Scott, Lauren Maas (Justin) and Erin Bastian. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
She died from complications of Covid infection despite immunization.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in her memory.
