He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard and Mary; and his sister Barbara Shaw. He is survived by: his wife Diana; his children, Melissa Shaw (Richard Thomas), Adam Shaw and Nicholas Shaw (Kim); his grandchildren, Jacob, Ragina, Rashonna, Nathan, Kaitlynn and Kane; his great grandchildren, Jacob Jr., Jamir, Zaeda and Sophia; and his siblings, Sharon Barber, Mary Wittrock (Jim), Phyllis Clarke (Jerry) and John Shaw. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
