He is survived by: his parents, Elmer Ecker and Veronica Ecker (Schrantz); his wife Kathy Ecker of Miltona; his children, Heidi Wrede (Chris) of New Hope, Aaron Ecker (Lori) of Alexandria, Carl Ecker (Melissa) of Chanhassen, Gretta Eder (Brian) of Lake Elmo and Megan Stern (Dan) of Portland, Oregon; his grandchildren, Logan Meyers, Emma, Owen, Noah Ecker, Charlie, Nora Wrede, Georgia, Frankie Lou Ecker, Beatrice, Pearl Eder and Scottie Stern; and his siblings, David Ecker of Melrose, Bill Ecker (Elaine) of Perham, Steve Ecker (Sue) of Long Prairie, Dianne Smith (Craig) of Miltona and Laurie Welz (Bill) of Delano.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be donated for cancer research and local oncology support.
