He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hetland and Thelma Hetland (Case); his siblings, Arlene Loeffert, Myrna Zimmerman and Leo Hetland; and his nephew Jodie Zimmerman.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Haag; his children, Tim Hetland (Shari) of Wyndmere and Melissa Hetland (Nate Johnson) of Lakeville; and his grandchildren, Jordyn Bell (Aaron), Nathan Hetland, Olivia Hetland, Soren Johnson, Ryker Johnson and Luna Johnson.
