He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Melzer and Elsie Melzer (Beutler); his daughter Sheryl; his wife Majelle Anderson; his brother Merritt Melzer; and his sister-in-law Sonya Melzer.
He is survived by: his children, Maynard Melzer (Deb) of Georgetown, Texas and Sherlyn VanVickle of Maple Grove; his brother Eugene Melzer; his sister-in-law Dorothy Melzer of Scottsdale, Arizona; and his granddaughters, Angela VanVickle (Jeremiah James) of Miltona, Kari Melzer of Austin and Tifanny Melzer of Georgetown, Texas. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
