He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gilsrud and Olga Gilsrud (Oddan); his wife Elvera (Beth Zinda); his close friend Beth Zinda; his brother Roger Gilsrud; and his nephews, Eric Gilsrud and Rod Gilsrud.
He is survived by: his sister Janice Anderson (Duane); his sister-in-law Donna Gilsrud; his nephew Ronald Gilsrud (Stephanie); and his nieces, Pam Matti (Duane), Angela Gehlhoff (Wade) and Sarah Grecula.
