She is survived by: her children, Susan Bourgerie (Larry), Donald McAlpine (Mary) and Dorothea McAlpine; her grandchildren, Amelia Seraphia Derr (Steve Stapleton), Megan Osterlund (Jon), David McAlpine (Brooke), Allie Swartzer (Chris) and Michaela McAlpine; and her great grandchildren, Rowan, Jessie, Aubrey, Ainsley, Elsie, Paisley, Brooklyn, Tyler, Emma, Jackson and Ava.
Donations honoring Katherine's memory may be made to the Mayo Clinic Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.
