It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Elsie Nygard of Milaca, Minnesota, born in Appleton, Minnesota, who passed away on January 10, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Schwartz and Martha Schwartz (Loose); her husband Glenn Nygard; her parents-in-law, Peter and Sena Nygard; and her brothers, Philip (Harriet Nygard), Magnus (Myra Skurdahl) and Archie (Sylvia Johnson).
She is survived by: her children, James Nygard of Buffalo, Paul Nygard (Connie) of Alexandria, Susan Nystrom (Timothy) of Foreston, Richard Nygard of Blaine and Wayne Nygard of Lino Lakes; her grandchildren, Lindsey Bakkum (Zach) of Eden Prairie, Seth Nygard (Andrea) of Chandler, AZ, Lesley Skallerud (Joe) of Madison, Andrew Nystrom (Naomi) of Shakopee and Katherine Theisen (Matthew) of Rosemount; and her great grandchildren, Jackson, Liv Bakkum, Addison, Anders, Aiden Nygard, Landon, Miles, Avery Skallerud, Noah Nystrom, Benjamin Nystrom and Cora Theisen.
