He is survived by: his wife Kerry (Primus) of Merrifield; his sons, Jeff (Stacy) of Chaska and Steve (Patty) of St. Cloud; his grandchildren, Bennett (Kenzie) of Shakopee, Regan Schoenfeldt (Dylan) of Shorewood and Maren of Chaska; his siblings, Kathy Elfering (Harry) of Melrose, Jim Kerfeld (Kathy) of Sauk Centre, Bernie Ostendorf of St. Cloud and Ann Hiltner (Mike) of St. Cloud; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Kerfeld of Sartell, Dottie Kerfeld of Waite Park, Barbara Robbins (Chuck) of Carrolton, TX and Tony Primus of Portsmouth, VA..
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Immaculate Heart Catholic Church (35208 Co Rd 37, Crosslake, MN 56442). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Merrifield Marathons Snowmobile Club or Habitat for Humanity in Brainerd.
