He was predeceased by: his wife Darlene Farden; his siblings, Glen Schear, Laurel Schear (Betty), Evelyn Olson (Arthur), Chester Schear and Lois Erickson; his brothers-in-law, Bernard Farden (Marie) and Richard Farden; and his niece Debbie Schear.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Schear and Bradley Schear of Mentor; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Schear, Gordon Farden (Marilyn) and Dale "Bumpy" Erickson (Diana). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
