We are sad to announce that on March 11, 2020, at the age of 70, Gary Kolstad (Mentor, Minnesota), born in Grand Forks, North Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Kolstad and Evelyn Kolstad (Marberg); his nephew Chad Kolstad; and his siblings-in-law, Jack Potucek and Sherilyn Kolstad.

He is survived by: his former wife Valerie Jean Quant; his grandchildren, Paige, Riley and Nick; his friend Zoey; his wife Val of Mentor; his daughters, Sheila Norring of Glyndon, MN and Kylie Kolstad of Fargo, ND; his grandsons, Nicholas of Moorhead, MN and Emmett of Fargo, ND.; and his siblings, Ilayne Potucek of Warren, MN, Wayne (Lois) of Grand Forks, ND, Merle (Rosie) of Erskine, Calvin of Erskine and Dale (Suzi) of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
