He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Wright and Drusilla Wright (McDonald); his brother Roger Wright; and his nephew Robert Ackre. He is survived by: his caregiver Phyllis Pederson; his wife Jean A. Stigen; his daughter Jane Mayer; his grandchildren, Thomas Saunders (Lisa), Benjamin Mayer (Raeann) and Kathryn Mayer; his great grandchildren, Henry Donovan Saunders and Owen Donovan Mayer; his sister Susan Ackre (George); his sister-in-law DeVonne Wright; and his nieces and nephews, Kari Nettum (Rocky), Nathan Wright (Kathy), Jennifer Pieper (Ron), Shawn Ackre (Natalie), Darin Ackre and Melissa Ackre.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Maple Bay Free Lutheran Church, The Fertile American Legion, or an organization of the donors choice in Don's name.
