He was predeceased by: his parents, John Simonson and Ocie Simonson; his brother Earl; his parents-in-law, George and Ethel Windjue; his daughter Sandi Johnson; his sisters, Lila Lucken (Earl) and Kate Simonson; and his brother-in-law Lloyd Windjue.
He is survived by: his wife Betty (Windjue); his children, Deb Roed (Bruce), Vickie Pippin, Donnie Simonson (Shirley) and Gary Simonson (Juli); and his great grandchildren, Eric Roed (Nicole), Cherie Thompson (Matt Rivera), Shelly Henrickson (Mark Sorenson), Karla Ness (Mike), Josh Pippin (Amy Kleinwachter), Katie Simonson, Sarah English (Jason Sherriff), Shannon English (Missy Fallon), Chad Johnson (Kary), Brent Johnson (Heidi), Jana Beard (Jeremy), Tony Simonson (Kelli), Krystle Giarusso (Justin), Kyle Simonson (Jade Pries) and Tiffany Simonson (Jesse Parker).
