She was predeceased by: her husband Calvin Gornick; her daughter Mary Simon; her granddaughter Sarah Gornick; her parents, Mary and Peter; and her siblings, Mary Cigetich, Kay Palmer and Peter Cigetich.
She is survived by: her children, Kay Gornick, Char Nash (Tom), Dr. Charles Gornick (Nancy), David Gornick (Margaret), Pauline Prout (John) and Kari Paterson (Ross). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Memorials preferred to ALS, Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, or the Sarah J. Gornick Scholarship Fund at the University of Wisconsin.
