He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Todd Lifson (Jane) and Judy Werthauser (Allen); his grandchildren, Andrew (Allison), Jeffrey (Dayna), Taylor (Jared), Morgan and Devin; and his sister Beverly Gordon (Steven) of Highland Park, IL..
