It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Carey Kovar of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, born in Portland, Oregon, who passed away on August 8, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyall Peterson and Mary Elizabeth Peterson (Carey); her husband John Kovar; and her sister Connie Peterson. She is survived by: her son John K. Kovar (Katie); her grandchildren, Ellie, Jack and Clara; and her siblings, Mary Jo Peterson (Gary Franklin) and Lyall Brian Peterson.
